Kumalia is a former Minority Leader of Nigeria’s House of Representatives and former President of the African Regional Parliamentary Committee on the Lake Chad Basin. As a Principal Officer in the National Assembly, he was well known for his frank views on issues of national importance.

An alumnus of the University of Maiduguri and the Nigerian Law School, he also had specialized training as a Legislative Draftsman from the Royal Institute of Public Administration London. Before his election into the House of Representatives, Kumalia worked as a Legislative Draftsman with the National Assembly for several years during which period he among other things served as the Secretary, Nigerian Constitution Review Committee (Adhoc).

After several years in the service of Nigeria at the National Assembly, Kumalia has returned to join Globaljuris Consulting as Partner. His wealth of experiences garnered over the years of involvement in law making at the highest level further adds value to our team.
